Custom Graphics supported the Wade Moore Benefit sponsored by the Twisters Car Club.  The turnout was amazing and we were happy to help!

The following articles was taken from the Sabetha Herald, submitted by Darryl Hoppe, Hot Wheels Race Coordinator.
"Kids Can Make a Difference"
Hot Wheels race benefit for Wade Moore is Saturday

Hot Wheels Race organizers in Sabetha invite the public to attend the Wade Moore Benefit "Kids Can Make a Difference Race," which is scheduled for this Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25, at the gym/multi-purpose room in Sabetha City Hall.
The tragic accident involving Wade Moore presented a new challenge for the Twister Dragway Hot Wheels team.
At the Morrill Days race, team members announced their intention to put together their first major fund-raiser to help Wade.
Other people from our community also wanted to help.  The first vision included a show-type atmosphere containing the largest number of entrants, the biggest trophy, television coverage, special prizes, special guests and food.
The team is very pleased to announce that all these visions and more will be reality this Saturday at the Sabetha City Hall gym.
Wade has been following all the preperations for the race while making a difficult recovery.
The team not only wanted to help him financially, but also to help community members support Wade by showing just how much they care, love and want him back in the best condition pissible.
The event will start with lunch at 1 p.m.  Burgers, brats, barbeque sandwhiches, potatos, and pop will be available.
Special event t-shirts, created by Becky Carver of Custom Graphics, can be ordered at the event.  To pre-order a t-shirt, call Carver at 785-284-2222.
The pre-race show with racer introductions and special performances will begin at 2:30 p.m.
The Hot Wheels race will follow.  Participants' names will be placed in a basket, and after the first round is completed, apecial donated prizes will be given away by drawing names from that basket.
Contributions of prizes for the kids' drawing are welcome.  Contact Darryl Hoppe at 785-284-3516 to donate or for more information.
The race winner will recieve a 42 inch trophy and $100 cash.
The "Luck of the Draw" rules will apply for the race, and a $10 donation per entry will be required.
Cars will be provided, so please don't bring your own.  The winning car will have to pass an after-race inspection.  Every effort is being made for the race to be as fair as possible.
Community donations will also be accepted.  Thrivent for Lutherans has agreed to match up to $2,000 for a matching funds project.
Anyone who would like to send monetary donations are asked to take them to Bart White, Twisters Car Club treasurer, at United Bank and Trust.
Plan to attend the first-of-its-kind event, and show your support for Wade.  We expect this to be our biggest Hot Wheels race to date.
This should be a fun, memorable day helping Wade in many ways.

Wade Moore Hot Wheels Race benefit is huge success

The Wade Moore "Kids Can Make a Difference" Hot Wheels Race Benefit was held Saturday Oct. 25, at the Sabetha City Hall gym, with 117 entries competing for a winner-take-all trophy.
The show started with Darryl Hoppe and information connecting this event with a national effort,  "Make a Difference Day 2008' being promoted by NASCAR'S Kasey Kane and musician Dierks Bentley.
Racers then lined up in front of the television camera.
The Color Guard comprising Gordon Grimm, Harold "Red" Emert, Eldon "Hog" Rokey, Randy Garber, and VFW Post 7285 charter member Paul Wurzbacher was presented by Veterans of Foreign Wars Memorial Post No. 7285 of Sabetha.
Paster Quentin Nuttman of the Lutheran Partnership prayed the invocation, and Becky Bauman sang the National Anthem.
The guest Grand Marshals were Wade's grandparents, Barbara and Lloyd Agee.  During the race command, Lloys announced that Wade was expected to attend the event.
During the middle of the first-round race eliminations, Wade arrived at the back door of the gym.
Darryl Hoppe publicly announced "Ladies and Gentelmen, let's welcome home Mr. Wade Moore!"
The roof nearly blew off the building with the crowd's yelling, applauding, and cheering.
Wade motored himself to the area behind the starting line and visited with friends and fans during the race.
Many prizes were handed out immediately after the first round.  With Wade only having two hours to be present, the race continued quickly to allow Wade to present the trophy to the winner.
The final race was very close, between cars registered to Emmett Hervey and Laeny Edelman.
At the finish line, Edelman's car won by just a couple of inches.  Unfortunately, she had to leave the event early and have her brother Baylen Edelman finish the race for her.
After a quick port-race inspection of the winning car, it was found to be legal, and Wade presented the trophy to Laeny's brother, along with the $100 bill.
"This event was just what I had hoped for.  Weeks ago family thought my idea of Wade being well enough to attend was a very long shot," said Darryl Hoppe.  "I sit and look at the pictures from the event and can't believe my eyes.  I see people from the community showing their love for Wade and having fun doing it, seeing Wade's homecoming go so well, all the three months of preperations come to life, and many other opportunities connected to the event actually happening."
The contributions are still being figured up and an exact amount is not yet available.  Hoppe estimates the final total will be more than $8,000 plus $2,000matching funds.  This money will be used to buy special equipment for Wade.
Anyone who didn't get an event t-shirt can still order for a short time from Becky Carver at 785-284-2222.
"I sincerely appreciate all the team members for helping put the event on, and I appreciate all the community for its support.  This is an experience I will never forget!" Hoppe exclaimed.
